Health Patterning modalities are individualized through unique Power Prescriptions designed for each person’s needs and wants and aimed toward expanding power-as-freedom. People learn to let go of expectations and to have no attachment to outcomes. The focus is on how the person is involved in creating life changes, rather than on the results of those efforts. After all, we are not in charge of how situations turn out as that depends on many factors.
While there are numerous Health Patterning modalities that I use to create Power Prescriptions, I specialize in guided imagery, Therapeutic Touch, power-imagery, dream reading, reversing, and the power of will. Power Prescriptions are developed through the collaborative mutual process that emerges moment-to-moment in the therapeutic encounter. Power Prescriptions are geared toward the issues the person wants to resolve, and this becomes the focus of our mutual process therapeutic work. As power-as-freedom grows people are less vulnerable to power-as-control. This is one way people heal. As people experience their power, they find the strength to change limiting beliefs or behaviors, clear unwanted emotions and relieve physical, emotional, and spiritual pain. Power Prescriptions are NOT like “medical” prescriptions. In other words, it is not as if you take the prescribed regimen, then a particular result, supposedly, will happen. Instead of “if this, then that,” the aim of Power Prescriptions is to guide people toward developing awareness, making choices, feeling free to act on their intentions, and becoming involved in creating specific changes in their lives. Remember, power is being aware of what one is choosing to do, feeling free to do it, and doing it intentionally. While the primary healing emphasis is focused on people as unitary wholes and what is happening in the lives of those people who seek Health Patterning, selected healing modalities and Power Prescriptions are ways people make the changes they want to make.
