POWER-IMAGERY PROCESS

The Power-Imagery Process (PIP) will teach you how to expand your power through using imagery and mentally-based exercises that are tailor-made from findings on your Power Profile.  Dr. Gerald Epstein and I developed this process combining the Epstein Mental Imagery Model with the Barrett Theory of Power as Knowing Participation in Change.   Responses from the Power as Knowing Participation in Change Tool are called the Power Profile and reveal a person’s areas of greater strength and lesser strength in relation to the four power dimensions of awareness, choices, freedom to act intentionally, and involvement in creating change.  Of course, we are talking about power-as-freedom, not power-as-control.

Let me tell you more about the Power-Imagery Process.  Let’s say, for example, you want to lose or gain weight.  You are AWARE of what you need to eat and you CHOOSE to eat foods that will help you gain or lose weight.  But somehow it doesn’t happen.  How is it that you became INVOLVED IN CREATING CHANGES you didn’t want and, therefore, you didn’t lose or gain weight, whichever was your intention.  What went wrong?   Well, you didn’t give yourself the FREEDOM TO ACT INTENTIONALLY in regard to following through on the choices that you would eat foods that would allow you to gain or lose weight.  As in this example, if your Power Profile reveals you have less strength in the area of freedom to act intentionally, then the Power-Imagery Program will provide exercises that will strengthen that dimension of power.  Believe it or not, any situation can be examined by looking at it from the standpoint of what you are aware of, what choices are you making, how free you feel to act on your intentions, and how you involve yourself in creating changes. Any one or more of the four power dimensions (awareness, choices, freedom to act intentionally, and involvement in creating change) may not be as strong as needed to create the intended powerful change you want.  The Power-Imagery Program is a 3 step-21 day program that will provide you with an education about this view of power as well as several reports, all individualized from your power self-assessment.  The findings are known as your Power Profile.  At each step of the way you will receive a series of exercises to bring about powerful changes, just where you need them most.  It only takes a few minutes a day for 21 days.

If you would like to experience this process for yourself and expand your ability to make aware choices by feeling free to bring about the changes you want in your life, visit our website at www.powerimagery.com  For people who prefer an even more intense experience, we offer workshops and in-person or telephone consultations.  We also provide the Power-Imagery Process through seminars and for staff of corporate clients, as well as healthcare and educational groups.  To learn more, go to Services on this site.
